We are seeking diligent Picker/Packers to join our logistics team in Richmond, Virginia. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from warehouse shelves and preparing them for shipment. Your efficiency and attention to detail are crucial for ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining smooth operations. You will be working in a dynamic warehouse environment, utilizing scanning technology to track inventory and fulfill orders. Safety is our top priority, and all team members are expected to adhere to our strict safety guidelines, including the use of appropriate PPE. This role involves consistent lifting and requires a good level of physical stamina.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from warehouse stock.
- Verify product identification and quantities.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipping.
- Apply shipping labels and necessary documentation.
- Operate hand trucks and pallet jacks.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or damages to supervisors.
- Contribute to the overall effectiveness of our logistics department.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform consistent lifting of up to 40 pounds.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
- Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
