We are looking for a dedicated Order Picker to join our vibrant warehouse operations in Durham, North Carolina. This role is vital for fulfilling customer orders accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for accurately selecting items from warehouse shelves, preparing them for shipment, and ensuring that each order meets our quality standards. The ideal candidate is energetic, precise, and committed to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. As an Order Picker, you directly contribute to customer satisfaction by ensuring timely and correct order dispatch. We prioritize safety and expect all team members to be diligent in following established protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role involves significant Lifting and requires mobility.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order sheets or scanner prompts.
- Verify picked items against order requirements for accuracy.
- Inspect picked items for defects or damage before moving to packing stations.
- Use warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and order pickers (if trained).
- Maintain a clean and organized picking area.
- Assist with inventory management, including location checks and cycle counts.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety procedures and guidelines.
- Wear required PPE at all times in designated areas.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations by meeting picking quotas.
- Report any issues with inventory or equipment to supervisors promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product identification.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Capacity for Lifting packages up to 30 lbs.
- Familiarity with safety practices and the use of PPE.
- Team-oriented and able to work effectively with others in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of logistics and warehouse operations is beneficial.
