Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Material Handler to join our dynamic warehouse team in Chicago, Illinois. This role is essential to the efficient flow of our logistics operations, focusing on the safe and effective movement of goods within the facility. Your responsibilities will include receiving, stocking, and preparing materials for shipment, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols. The ideal candidate will be physically capable of performing tasks requiring consistent lifting and manual dexterity. Experience with pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment is a plus. We prioritize a safe working environment and require all team members to strictly follow safety procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE. Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments.
  • Stock and organize materials in designated warehouse areas.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare materials for outgoing shipments accurately.
  • Operate manual and electric pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Assist with maintaining inventory accuracy and conduct cycle counts.
  • Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
  • Support other warehouse functions and team members to ensure smooth logistics operations.
  • Perform duties that involve significant physical exertion, including frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
  • Participate in inventory management and quality assurance processes.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role, particularly as a Material Handler, is preferred.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks requiring regular lifting, bending, and standing.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
  • Willingness to operate various types of material handling equipment.
  • A strong commitment to safety and efficiency in all tasks.
