We are seeking dedicated and efficient Picker/Packers to join our fast-paced logistics center in Huntsville, Alabama. This role is essential for ensuring that customer orders are accurately assembled and prepared for shipment, directly impacting customer satisfaction. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from warehouse inventory, verifying quantities and product details, and then carefully packing these items into appropriate shipping containers. You will also be tasked with labeling packages and staging them for outgoing transportation. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment is key, as is a commitment to safety. Proper use of PPE, such as safety vests, gloves, and closed-toe shoes, is mandatory. The role involves significant physical activity, including frequent bending, reaching, and lifting items up to 50 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on pick lists or system guidance.
- Verify item numbers, quantities, and product condition before packing.
- Select appropriate packaging materials to ensure product safety during transit.
- Pack items securely and efficiently.
- Apply shipping labels and any necessary documentation to packages.
- Stage completed orders for shipment.
- Operate pallet jacks and hand trucks as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in your picking and packing area.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and use required PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety practices.
- Team player with good communication skills.
