Join our team as a Material Handler in Minneapolis, Minnesota! In this essential role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our facility. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting goods within the warehouse, stocking inventory, and assisting with order fulfillment. This position is a key component of our logistics operations, requiring physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety. We provide a supportive and dynamic work environment, where adherence to all safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is paramount. We are looking for reliable and motivated individuals who can work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Your role contributes directly to the smooth functioning of our supply chain and ensures timely delivery of products to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and shipping containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Receive, identify, and accurately stock incoming inventory.
- Assist in picking and preparing materials for production or shipment.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas.
- Perform routine inspections of material handling equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation as needed.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler, warehouse worker, or in a similar logistics role is preferred.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification is a plus).
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting up to 60 lbs regularly.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Familiarity with inventory management concepts is beneficial.
