Job Summary:
Join our team as a Picker/Packer in Houston, Texas, a key role in our busy distribution center. You will be responsible for efficiently picking products for customer orders and accurately packing them for shipment. This position requires a blend of speed, precision, and organizational skills to ensure our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. You'll work closely with a team to manage order flow and contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations. This role is fundamental to our supply chain, ensuring that the right products reach the right destinations. We emphasize a safe working environment and provide the necessary tools and training to succeed. Your contribution is essential to maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction through prompt and accurate order processing. We are looking for individuals who are proactive, reliable, and dedicated to maintaining high standards of performance. Experience in a similar role is beneficial but not always required, as we provide comprehensive training.
Responsibilities:
  • Pick products from inventory shelves based on order tickets using RF scanners or similar technology.
  • Inspect picked items for damage or defects.
  • Pack items carefully into appropriate boxes or containers, ensuring proper cushioning and labeling.
  • Verify order accuracy before sealing packages.
  • Operate shipping equipment such as tape machines and pallet jacks.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work station.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily shipping goals.
  • Report any inventory discrepancies or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience as a picker, packer, or in a warehouse environment is advantageous.
  • Ability to interpret order forms and product labels.
  • Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace while maintaining accuracy.
  • Capacity for repetitive motion and manual tasks.
  • Capability for lifting up to 40 lbs consistently.
  • Strong understanding of and commitment to workplace safety.
  • Familiarity with logistics and supply chain processes is a plus.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
