We are seeking experienced Forklift Operators for our Grand Rapids, Michigan facility. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your proficiency in operating forklifts will ensure the efficient flow of goods and materials throughout our warehouse, playing a key part in our overall logistics strategy. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe forklift operation, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You should be familiar with warehouse layouts and inventory management principles. A valid forklift certification is required. We place a strong emphasis on Safety , and all employees are expected to adhere strictly to safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE . Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport products between different areas of the warehouse.
- Perform regular inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records through proper handling.
- Follow all warehouse Safety rules and procedures meticulously.
- Wear and maintain required PPE at all times.
- Work cooperatively with other team members to achieve operational goals.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics operations.
