We are hiring a Material Handler for our busy facility in Miami, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for moving, stocking, and staging materials throughout the warehouse, ensuring the efficient flow of goods within our logistics network. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Move materials to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Assist with receiving and verifying incoming shipments.
- Ensure accurate placement and labeling of materials.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Perform routine checks on material handling equipment.
- Utilize warehouse management system (WMS) to track material movement.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks, ensuring proper techniques are used for items up to 60 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in operating various types of material handling equipment.
- Experience with forklift operation is highly desirable; certification preferred.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical labor, including consistent lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety standards and logistics best practices.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE at all times.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
