We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in Seattle, Washington. In this critical role, you will oversee daily warehouse operations, manage staff, and ensure efficiency, safety, and productivity within our logistics facility. You will be responsible for implementing operational strategies, maintaining high standards of performance, and fostering a positive work environment. Your leadership will be key to our ongoing success.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse staff, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Ensure all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping, are conducted efficiently and accurately.
- Implement and enforce all company safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse team members.
- Manage inventory control processes to ensure accuracy and minimize loss.
- Oversee the maintenance and operation of warehouse equipment.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize logistics and supply chain processes.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve warehouse efficiency and productivity.
- Maintain records and generate reports on warehouse activities, performance, and KPIs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory or management role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory management systems.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in relevant software, including WMS and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements:
While the role involves significant management duties, supervisors are expected to be able to walk the warehouse floor, potentially lift up to 25 pounds, and demonstrate tasks as needed. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods. Training on safe practices is provided.
Safety and PPE:
Safety leadership is essential. Supervisors are responsible for promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring adherence to all safety protocols. You will be required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed and ensure your team does the same. Your commitment to safety in our logistics operations is crucial.
