In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing warehouse equipment, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. Your duties will include troubleshooting mechanical issues, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring all machinery operates at peak performance. A strong understanding of warehouse machinery and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential. You will be instrumental in minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity across the facility. This position demands a keen eye for detail, technical aptitude, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of Safety. We are looking for individuals who are not only technically skilled but also prioritize a safe working environment for themselves and their colleagues, including the correct use of PPE. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various warehouse equipment, including conveyor systems, forklifts, and automated machinery.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems and implement preventative maintenance measures.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently, adhering to manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to address equipment-related issues promptly.
- Adhere to all company policies and Safety regulations, including proper use of PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in mechanics or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role, preferably in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and the use of appropriate PPE is mandatory.
