Seeking a diligent Order Picker to join our team in Madison, Wisconsin. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently fulfilling customer orders by picking items from warehouse shelves. Your precision is key to ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the integrity of our inventory. This position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to following safety protocols. You will work with a team to maintain an organized and productive warehouse environment. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, motivated, and eager to contribute to our logistics operations. Success in this role means ensuring that the right products get to the right customers, on time and in perfect condition.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations based on order specifications.
- Use handheld scanners or other technology to track picked items and update inventory.
- Pack items carefully to ensure they are protected during transit.
- Stage orders for shipping, ensuring accuracy and proper labeling.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety guidelines.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks to move merchandise.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily picking and shipping goals.
- Follow all company policies, particularly those related to safety and product handling.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is advantageous.
- Ability to perform regular lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures and the use of PPE.
- Basic understanding of inventory management and logistics.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Must be reliable and able to work assigned shifts.
