We are looking for a reliable Material Handler to join our team in Miami, Florida. This position is responsible for the movement and organization of materials within our warehouse. You will use various equipment to transport, store, and retrieve items, ensuring the smooth operation of our Logistics and production processes. A commitment to Safety, efficiency, and attention to detail is essential. This role is vital to maintaining an organized and productive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring materials are handled with care.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas and production lines.
- Organize and maintain inventory in warehouse storage areas.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Perform routine checks on equipment and report any maintenance issues.
- Follow all company Safety policies and procedures, including wearing required PPE.
- Ensure a clean and orderly work environment, free from obstructions.
- Must be comfortable with frequent Lifting and carrying of materials.
- Support the overall Logistics and operational flow of the warehouse.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a material handler, warehouse associate, or in a similar role is preferred. Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment. Knowledge of warehouse Safety practices. Physical ability to perform frequent manual labor, including Lifting and moving of items up to 50 lbs. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with basic Logistics principles is a plus. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to strict Safety protocols.
