We are hiring an Order Picker to join our team in Washington, D.C. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently retrieving items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role requires precision, speed, and a strong commitment to maintaining inventory accuracy and Safety. You will work closely with other warehouse associates to ensure timely shipment of orders. This is a great opportunity to be part of our growing Logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using handheld scanners, pick sheets, or voice-picking systems.
- Locate and retrieve items from designated warehouse locations.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order details, ensuring no errors.
- Pack picked items securely and efficiently for shipment, meeting quality standards.
- Stage completed orders for shipping, ensuring proper labeling and routing.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to Safety guidelines.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and order pickers as needed.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment.
- Must be comfortable with frequent Lifting and reaching for items.
- Ensure proper use of all required PPE.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is preferred. Ability to read and understand pick lists and order details. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift. Must be able to perform repetitive tasks and Lifting of items up to 30 lbs. Understanding of warehouse Safety protocols and Logistics principles is beneficial.
