Join our thriving distribution center as a Material Handler in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This role is fundamental to the smooth operation of our warehouse, ensuring materials are moved efficiently and safely between different areas. You will be responsible for operating various types of material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyors, to transport, store, and sort goods. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and a commitment to workplace Safety are key. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks involving significant Lifting . You will work closely with other warehouse staff to fulfill orders and maintain optimal inventory levels. The successful candidate will be trained on our specific systems and processes and must consistently follow all guidelines for the correct use of PPE . Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move materials to and from storage areas, production areas, and shipping docks.
- Stack and arrange materials in designated locations.
- Conduct routine checks and maintenance on material handling equipment.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Follow all established Safety procedures and guidelines.
- Wear required PPE at all times, including safety shoes, gloves, and vests.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge in Logistics and material handling.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Support general warehouse operations as needed.
