Job Summary:
We are looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in San Antonio, Texas . This role is critical for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, which directly supports our overall logistics operations. Your primary responsibilities will include performing cycle counts, investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, managing stock levels, and contributing to the overall organization and efficiency of the warehouse. You will work closely with warehouse staff and management to implement and maintain effective inventory control measures. The role requires strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and proficiency in inventory management software. While primarily an analytical role, some physical tasks may be involved, including occasional lifting . A firm commitment to workplace safety , including the proper use of PPE , is essential. Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and investigate any variances.
  • Track inventory movements and ensure data accuracy in the WMS.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies between system data and physical stock.
  • Monitor inventory levels and recommend adjustments to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
  • Assist in the implementation of new inventory control procedures.
  • Maintain organized storage locations and ensure proper stock rotation.
  • Support receiving and shipping departments with inventory-related tasks.
  • Adhere to all company safety guidelines and wear required PPE .
  • Generate inventory reports for management review.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications in inventory management are a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehousing, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other inventory software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform some physical tasks, including occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Understanding of logistics principles and supply chain management.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and proper PPE usage.
