We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our busy warehouse team in Los Angeles, California . As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our facility, playing a critical role in our overall logistics and supply chain operations. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting goods to and from storage areas, and assisting with inventory management. This role requires precision, a strong commitment to safety , and the ability to operate various types of forklifts. You must be proficient in handling materials and aware of potential hazards. Adherence to all safety protocols and the consistent use of PPE are non-negotiable. The position may also involve some manual tasks, including occasional lifting . Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Move materials from receiving to storage areas, and from storage to shipping.
- Assist with inventory counts and ensure accurate placement of goods.
- Inspect forklift equipment before and after shifts, reporting any issues.
- Follow all warehouse safety regulations and procedures.
- Wear required PPE at all times.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, including occasional lifting .
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA compliant).
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics .
- Strong understanding of forklift operating procedures and warehouse safety .
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Must wear required PPE .
