We have an exciting opportunity for a Receiving Clerk in our Omaha, Nebraska facility. This role is central to our supply chain management and logistics , ensuring that all incoming goods are handled efficiently and accurately. You will be responsible for unloading trucks, meticulously checking received items against order documentation, inspecting for damages, and accurately inputting data into our inventory system. Precision and attention to detail are critical for success in this position. The role requires physical capability, including standing for extended periods, walking, and manual dexterity for handling packages. Strict adherence to all safety regulations and the proper use of PPE is mandatory to ensure a secure working environment. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Inspect shipments for any damage or discrepancies and report findings.
- Enter receiving data into the inventory management system promptly and accurately.
- Organize and stage received goods for internal distribution or put-away.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of required PPE .
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, warehouse, or inventory control preferred.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications.
- Understanding of logistics principles and inventory management.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and knowledge of PPE .
