This position involves the essential tasks of receiving, moving, staging, and storing materials and products. You'll be crucial in ensuring a smooth workflow from the moment goods arrive until they are ready for shipment. This role requires physical stamina, including significant lifting of up to 50 pounds, and the ability to operate various material handling equipment. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments accurately.
- Transport materials using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Stage materials for production, shipping, or receiving.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory verification.
- Ensure all items are properly handled and stored to prevent damage.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and protocols.
- Properly use all required PPE.
- Support overall logistics operations and team goals.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a Material Handler or warehouse role.
- Proven ability to perform lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Experience operating material handling equipment (pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc.).
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety practices.
- Commitment to wearing and utilizing PPE.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
