Our Huntsville, Alabama distribution center is looking for enthusiastic Order Pickers to join our team. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately gathering and preparing items for shipment to our valued customers. This role is fundamental to our logistics success, ensuring that orders are fulfilled correctly and efficiently. You will work with RF scanners and pick sheets to locate products within our warehouse. Strong organizational skills, the ability to work at a steady pace, and a commitment to safety are paramount. Responsibilities:
- Select and retrieve specified items from warehouse shelves based on order forms.
- Utilize RF scanning devices to accurately track inventory movement.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order details.
- Package picked items securely for shipment.
- Move inventory to designated staging areas for shipping preparation.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of assigned work zones.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and report any discrepancies.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient order fulfillment.
- Contribute to meeting daily picking targets and operational goals.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or picking role is advantageous.
- Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for the duration of the shift.
- Capable of lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail in product selection.
- Ability to read and understand product codes and order instructions.
- Understanding of basic logistics and warehouse procedures.
- Team player mentality with the ability to work autonomously.
- Adherence to safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
