Seeking a meticulous Receiving Clerk for our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania location. This position is fundamental to our logistics process, ensuring all incoming shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for unloading deliveries, verifying goods against documentation, inspecting for damages, and entering receiving data into our system. A strong emphasis is placed on safety; we provide all essential PPE and thorough training on our procedures. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail to join our growing logistics team. You'll be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of our inventory. Tasks will include handling various goods, which requires consistent lifting. We foster a safe and productive work environment, and adherence to all safety protocols is mandatory. You will collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve any discrepancies. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments.
- Verify quantities and item details against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect received products for any damages or defects.
- Record received goods into the inventory management system accurately.
- Tag and stage incoming inventory for distribution or put-away.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving dock area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandated use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments regarding receiving issues.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving or warehouse operations is desirable.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 45 lbs.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills for data entry.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain terminology is a plus.
- Commitment to following safety guidelines and wearing PPE.
