We are looking for diligent Picker/Packers to join our bustling logistics facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This position is vital to our supply chain, responsible for the accurate and efficient preparation of customer orders. Your day-to-day duties will involve identifying and retrieving specific items from warehouse inventory, carefully packaging them to ensure they arrive safely at their destination, and processing them for shipment. Success in this role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic warehouse setting. You will be an integral part of our team, contributing to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations. Maintaining a tidy and organized workstation is key, as is a commitment to upholding our high standards for order accuracy. Continuous training on best practices in warehousing and safety will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Select correct items based on order specifications.
- Inspect products for damage before packaging.
- Assemble shipments using appropriate packing methods and materials.
- Apply shipping labels accurately.
- Keep the picking and packing stations orderly.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols.
- Participate in inventory checks.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve productivity targets.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
- Capacity to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
- Excellent observational skills.
- Competence in basic arithmetic.
- Physical ability to stand for long hours and perform manual tasks.
- Must wear designated PPE.
- Capable of lifting up to 45 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
- Dedication to maintaining a safe working environment.
