Join our dedicated logistics team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as a skilled Forklift Operator. This position is crucial for the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating a forklift safely and effectively to load, unload, transport, and store materials. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the accuracy and integrity of inventory while maintaining a high level of productivity. We are seeking reliable and experienced operators who prioritize safety and possess excellent attention to detail. You will collaborate with warehouse associates to ensure seamless operations, from receiving to shipping. A valid forklift certification and proven experience are required. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve inventory with precision and care.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and into racking systems safely.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on forklifts and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, traffic rules, and company policies within the warehouse.
- Properly use and maintain required PPE at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock put-away.
- Ensure correct product handling and storage to prevent damage.
- Must be able to perform lifting of up to 40 lbs when necessary.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the logistics department.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve operational goals.
Qualifications:
- Possess a valid forklift operator certification.
- Minimum of (Specify number, e.g., 1-2) years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of forklift operation and safety procedures.
- Familiarity with warehouse logistics and inventory management systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
- Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.
- Commitment to adhering to safety standards and wearing PPE.
