Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct daily activities of the warehouse team.
- Ensure efficient and accurate execution of receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping processes.
- Monitor team performance and provide coaching, training, and feedback.
- Implement and enforce all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on safety.
- Maintain a safe and secure working environment, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and the proper use of PPE.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure accuracy through cycle counts and audits.
- Operate and oversee the safe use of warehouse equipment, including forklifts.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Manage staff scheduling and workload distribution.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals and updates.
- Assist with problem-solving and conflict resolution within the team.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all warehouse tasks.
- Oversee proper lifting techniques and adherence to safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, logistics, and supply chain principles.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and related software.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends if needed.
- Physical ability to perform warehouse tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
