Our Fort Worth, Texas facility is looking for a meticulous Receiving Clerk to manage incoming shipments and maintain accurate inventory records. The Receiving Clerk plays a vital role in our supply chain **Logistics**, ensuring that all goods are received, inspected, and processed efficiently and accurately. This position requires a high level of organization and attention to detail to prevent discrepancies and ensure smooth operations.
Responsibilities:
- Unpack, sort, and inspect incoming shipments for damage and discrepancies.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Label and stage incoming inventory for put-away or further processing.
- Communicate any receiving issues or discrepancies to supervisors and relevant departments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and **Safety**-conscious receiving area.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including **PPE** requirements.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as needed for moving received goods.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Understanding of proper **Lifting** techniques to handle various types of freight.
Prior experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a similar warehouse role is beneficial. Must possess strong organizational and data entry skills. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities are required. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to strict **Safety** standards. Willingness to wear appropriate **PPE** and follow all **Lifting** guidelines. Knowledge of inventory systems is a plus. This role demands a proactive approach to managing the flow of goods in our **Logistics** operation.
