As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for locating items in our warehouse, verifying their identity, and carefully packaging them for shipment. We maintain a strong focus on workplace Safety, and all employees are expected to adhere to our safety guidelines, including the appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The ideal candidate has excellent manual dexterity, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a warehouse or order fulfillment setting is beneficial, and we provide comprehensive training to all new hires. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order requirements.
- Use handheld scanners or pick sheets to identify and confirm products.
- Inspect items for damage or defects before packing.
- Package orders securely and efficiently, ensuring product protection during transit.
- Label packages correctly for shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and contribute to overall warehouse tidiness.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock checks as directed.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including proper Lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Meet established productivity and quality standards.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience as a picker, packer, or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
- Must be capable of performing frequent Lifting, typically up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse Safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
