We are seeking enthusiastic Picker/Packers to join our team in Madison, Wisconsin. As a Picker/Packer, you will play a vital role in our distribution center operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently fulfilled. Your responsibilities will include picking items from inventory, carefully packing them for shipment, and preparing orders for dispatch. This role is fundamental to our logistics chain and requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order forms.
- Inspect picked items for damage and ensure correct quantity.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Apply shipping labels and documentation accurately.
- Stage packed orders for outgoing shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety regulations.
- Utilize warehouse equipment such as scanners and hand trucks as needed.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
- Perform tasks that may involve repetitive lifting, typically up to 30 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks involving lifting.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to follow instructions.
