Join our growing Logistics operations in San Antonio, Texas, as a Shipping Clerk. This position is key to our supply chain, ensuring that all outbound shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and safely. Your responsibilities will include verifying order contents, selecting the correct packaging, labeling parcels correctly, and managing all associated shipping documentation. You will also liaise with shipping partners to ensure timely pickups and deliveries. Maintaining accurate records and adhering to all company Safety standards is of utmost importance. We are looking for an individual with excellent organizational skills, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment. The use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required for specific tasks to ensure your safety. This role involves some physical activity, including the occasional Lifting of boxes and materials, typically not exceeding 50 pounds. Responsibilities:
- Accurately verify order details against shipping information.
- Select appropriate boxes, packing materials, and methods.
- Apply shipping labels and any required hazardous material markings.
- Prepare shipping manifests and maintain shipping logs.
- Coordinate with couriers and freight forwarders for outgoing shipments.
- Track shipment status and proactively address any delays or issues.
- Follow all Safety procedures and warehouse protocols.
- Utilize required PPE diligently.
- Assist with loading and unloading operations as needed.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the shipping station.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse Logistics.
- Knowledge of shipping software and online tracking systems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle occasional Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of shipping documentation and compliance requirements.
- Commitment to Safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Reliable and punctual.
