Job Summary:
We are seeking dedicated Material Handlers to join our busy warehouse facility in Detroit, Michigan. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that materials are moved, organized, and prepared efficiently and safely throughout the facility. You will work with a variety of materials and equipment, contributing to the overall smooth operation of our distribution center. We offer a competitive hourly rate and a supportive team environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
  • Move materials to and from storage areas using appropriate equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts if certified).
  • Sort, stack, and arrange materials in designated locations.
  • Prepare materials for shipment, including packaging and labeling.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Operate hand tools and equipment safely.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Wear required PPE at all times.
  • Perform tasks involving frequent lifting and manual handling of materials.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience as a material handler or in a warehouse environment is beneficial.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions.
  • Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including regular lifting and moving of heavy items.
  • Must be able to wear appropriate PPE.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
