Join our team as an Order Picker in Indianapolis, Indiana, where you'll play a critical role in fulfilling customer orders accurately and efficiently. This position is essential to our logistics operations, ensuring that our clients receive their products in a timely manner. Your primary duties will involve accurately locating and retrieving items from warehouse shelves and preparing them for shipment. Success in this role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work quickly and accurately.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves according to order lists or scanner instructions.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Package picked items securely for shipment.
- Transport picked items to the packing or shipping area.
- Assist with inventory control by reporting discrepancies and participating in cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Wear and utilize all designated PPE throughout your shift.
- Must be able to perform regular Lifting of items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists or use scanner technology.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual attendance is required.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Awareness of and adherence to workplace safety procedures.
- Must comply with all PPE requirements.
