Our dynamic logistics and distribution center in Dallas, Texas, is looking for a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining the operational efficiency and safety of our warehouse equipment and facility. Your responsibilities will include performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring all machinery is in safe working order. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, mechanical aptitude, and a proactive approach to preventative maintenance. You will work closely with the warehouse management team to minimize downtime and ensure the smooth flow of goods. Safety is our top priority, and you will be expected to uphold the highest standards, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to all safety protocols related to equipment operation and maintenance. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent diagnostic skills. Experience with various types of warehouse equipment, such as conveyors, forklifts, and automated systems, is highly desirable. - Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyors, and palletizers.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues with warehouse machinery.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently, adhering to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
- Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Participate in safety training and contribute to a culture of safety awareness within the warehouse.
- Keep the maintenance area clean and organized.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff and management to coordinate maintenance schedules and prioritize repairs.
Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or logistics environment.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with industrial machinery and maintenance procedures.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Knowledge of safety regulations, including PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Must be able to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
