We are seeking dedicated Order Pickers to join our bustling logistics center in Kansas City, Missouri. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. Your primary focus will be on precisely locating and retrieving items from our warehouse shelves based on order requirements. This position demands a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and a strong commitment to safety. You will work within a team environment, contributing to the overall success of our distribution operations. We provide comprehensive training, including essential safety protocols and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), to ensure a secure and productive work experience. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from designated warehouse locations using pick sheets or scanning technology.
- Verify the correct item and quantity before proceeding to the next pick.
- Handle products with care to prevent damage.
- Stage picked orders appropriately for the packing and shipping departments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Operate pallet jacks and other manual material handling equipment as needed.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock put-away as directed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity and accuracy goals.
- Follow all instructions provided by supervisors to ensure efficient logistics operations.
- Previous experience in order picking, warehouse operations, or a similar logistics role is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists or use electronic scanning devices.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods.
- Must be capable of consistent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Understanding of basic warehouse procedures and logistics.
- Dedication to workplace safety and the proper utilization of PPE.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
