We have an exciting opening for an Order Picker in our state-of-the-art facility in Tampa, Florida. As an Order Picker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. Your primary responsibilities will include accurately locating and retrieving items from warehouse shelves according to picking lists, packing items securely for shipment, and assisting with the overall flow of goods within the logistics center. This role requires a keen eye for detail, efficiency, and a strong commitment to safety. You will be operating various equipment, and your ability to follow instructions precisely is paramount. The position involves considerable physical activity, including frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods. We emphasize a safe working environment, and all employees are required to use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. You will work collaboratively with a team of dedicated individuals to meet daily order fulfillment targets. Understanding basic warehouse operations and logistics is beneficial. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from inventory using order sheets or electronic scanners.
- Verify picked items against order specifications to ensure accuracy.
- Pack items securely and appropriately for shipping.
- Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy through diligent picking and stocking.
- Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and procedures.
- Wear and utilize all mandated PPE.
- Collaborate with warehouse associates and supervisors.
- Contribute to meeting daily order fulfillment quotas.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring regular lifting (up to 50 lbs) and prolonged standing.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to read and interpret picking lists and labels.
- Experience with RF scanners is a plus.
- Team-oriented and able to work effectively with others.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE guidelines.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
