Join our bustling warehouse operation in the heart of New York City, New York, as a Picker/Packer! We are looking for meticulous and energetic individuals to accurately fulfill customer orders. This essential role contributes directly to our logistics success by ensuring that products are picked, packed, and shipped with precision and speed. You will work with various inventory systems and equipment to manage orders efficiently. A strong focus on safety, including adherence to all guidelines and the use of required PPE, is non-negotiable. This position demands physical activity, including frequent lifting, and the ability to thrive in a demanding environment.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products according to order specifications using scanning devices.
- Inspect items for damage and ensure correct quantities are picked.
- Pack orders using appropriate materials to ensure safe transit.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Operate pallet jacks and other manual material handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and wear required PPE.
- Participate in inventory control efforts as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily logistics goals.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a Picker/Packer or in a warehouse setting is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform regular lifting of up to 45 pounds.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Capacity to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of general warehouse safety procedures.
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Must be comfortable with standing, walking, and manual dexterity for extended periods.
