Join our energetic logistics team in San Jose, California, as a Shipping & Receiving Associate! This role is key to ensuring our warehouse operates smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for handling all aspects of incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and contributing to a safe and productive work environment. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong understanding of warehouse operations. We value safety above all else and require strict adherence to all protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position involves regular Lifting and requires physical stamina.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Document all incoming and outgoing inventory accurately using our warehouse management system.
- Prepare goods for shipment, including picking, packing, and labeling.
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
- Organize and maintain the receiving and shipping areas.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified).
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and utilize PPE as required.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping, receiving, or warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting, up to 50 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Commitment to workplace safety and familiarity with warehouse protocols.
- Must be a team player with good communication skills.
- Understanding of logistics principles and supply chain flow.
- Knowledge of appropriate PPE for warehouse tasks.
