We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas. In this essential role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that goods are moved accurately and securely throughout the warehouse, supporting our overall logistics operations. The ideal candidate will possess a valid forklift certification, a strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures, and a proven ability to operate machinery with precision. You will work collaboratively with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations and maintain a clean and organized work environment. We are committed to providing a safe workplace, and adherence to all safety protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE, is expected.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move, load, and unload materials.
- Transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment within the warehouse.
- Verify the types and quantities of materials being moved against orders and schedules.
- Stack and store materials in designated areas, ensuring stability and safety.
- Perform routine inspections of forklifts and other equipment, reporting any issues.
- Follow all safety guidelines and regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as required.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, free from obstructions.
- Contribute to efficient logistics operations by ensuring timely movement of goods.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions focused on safety and productivity.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including regular lifting and bending.
- Strong understanding of material handling principles.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions carefully.
