We have an immediate opening for a dedicated Inventory Control Specialist in our Houston, Texas distribution center. In this crucial role, you will be instrumental in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our vast inventory. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough cycle counts, investigating and resolving any stock discrepancies, managing inventory adjustments, and implementing process improvements to optimize stock levels. Your meticulous approach will directly contribute to the efficiency of our logistics operations and the satisfaction of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute regular cycle counting procedures to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Investigate root causes of inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Update and maintain inventory records within our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage, handling, and organization of goods.
- Monitor inventory levels and alert management to potential shortages or overstock situations.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist in the receiving and put-away processes to ensure accurate initial inventory intake.
- Support inventory audits and physical stock takes.
- Must be comfortable with frequent lifting of items up to 55 lbs.
- Contribute to process improvements for inventory management.

Prior experience with inventory control systems and a solid understanding of warehouse operations are highly valued.
