We are seeking energetic and detail-oriented Order Pickers to join our team in Boston, Massachusetts. This role is fundamental to our logistics and fulfillment process, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently assembled. You will be responsible for accurately picking items from warehouse shelves based on order sheets or pick lists, preparing them for packing, and staging them for shipment. Maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency is key to success in this position. You will work in a dynamic warehouse environment, collaborating with team members to meet daily targets and uphold our commitment to timely delivery. A strong understanding of warehouse safety practices and the ability to perform tasks involving lifting and movement are essential. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations according to pick lists or system-generated orders.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Use equipment such as RF scanners or voice-directed picking systems to guide the picking process.
- Prepare picked items for packing, including consolidating orders and ensuring items are ready for the next stage.
- Stage picked orders in designated areas for quality control and packing.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, keeping aisles clear and materials properly stored.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
- Report any discrepancies in inventory or order fulfillment to supervisors immediately.
- Participate in training programs to enhance picking efficiency and safety awareness.
- Perform tasks involving lifting, bending, and reaching to access items.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics and fulfillment process.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in order picking or warehouse operations is preferred but not required. Must be able to read and understand pick lists and product labels. Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment. Capable of performing tasks involving frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Reliability and punctuality are essential. Basic understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory flow is beneficial. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures. Must be committed to adhering to all safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Good communication skills.
Working Conditions:
This role is based in a warehouse environment where conditions may vary regarding temperature. Continuous attention to safety is required, including the mandatory use of appropriate PPE. Tasks involve physical activity, including lifting, reaching, and moving products. Employees are expected to follow all safety guidelines for lifting and material handling to ensure a safe workplace within our logistics operations.
