Job Summary:
We are looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will include cycle counting, stock reconciliation, investigating discrepancies, and implementing procedures to minimize errors. This position is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that we have precise stock levels for efficient order fulfillment. We are committed to a safe working environment and require strict adherence to all safety protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between system inventory and physical stock.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy.
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify slow-moving or obsolete stock.
  • Process inventory adjustments, receipts, and transfers accurately.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and potential issues.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely, if required.
  • Ensure compliance with all warehouse safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff and management to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or logistics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Experience with RF scanners and other inventory tracking technologies.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 40 lbs, on occasion.
  • Good understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety guidelines, including the use of PPE.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
This role is vital for maintaining efficient logistics. You will be responsible for the accuracy of our inventory, ensuring smooth operations and customer satisfaction. Safety in handling and tracking materials is a core aspect of this position.
