Are you an experienced Forklift Operator looking for a new opportunity in Austin, Texas? We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious individual to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment within our busy warehouse. Your primary responsibility will be the efficient and safe movement of goods, loading and unloading trucks, and stocking inventory. This role is critical to the smooth functioning of our logistics operations. You will work in a dynamic environment where adherence to all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is paramount. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other powered industrial trucks to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items within the warehouse.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks and trailers.
- Stock and retrieve inventory from various warehouse locations, including racking systems.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and location verification.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the correct use of PPE, at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, free from hazards.
- Identify and report any safety concerns or equipment malfunctions immediately.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely order fulfillment.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator, preferably in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety principles and best practices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 50 lbs, occasionally.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety protocols and using required PPE.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
