We are looking for a motivated Distribution Center Associate to join our operations in Kansas City, Missouri. In this essential role, you will contribute to the efficient flow of goods through our distribution network. Responsibilities include receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping a wide range of products. Your diligence and accuracy are vital to maintaining inventory integrity and ensuring timely order fulfillment. Your role supports the entire logistics operation, from incoming inventory to outgoing shipments.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming inventory.
- Store products in designated areas using appropriate material handling equipment.
- Pick and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Pack items securely for transit, utilizing appropriate materials.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery safely and efficiently.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile stock levels.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Comply with all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Load and unload trucks as needed.
- Support other warehouse functions as required to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a distribution center, warehouse, or logistics role is preferred.
- Forklift certification is a significant asset.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 60 lbs regularly.
- Proficiency with RF scanning technology and warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the use of PPE.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a high standard of work quality and efficiency.
