Seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain accurate inventory records for our San Jose, California warehouse. This critical role supports our logistics operations by ensuring the integrity of our stock. You will be responsible for conducting regular inventory audits, investigating discrepancies, implementing inventory control procedures, and maintaining organized stock areas. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to upholding high standards of accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced logistics environment. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage and errors.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, movements, and adjustments in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Ensure proper organization and placement of inventory within the warehouse.
- Coordinate with warehouse associates and supervisors to ensure efficient material flow.
- Generate inventory reports and provide insights to management.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Assist with receiving and shipping processes to verify counts and quality.
- Perform tasks requiring lifting and moving of inventory items as necessary.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role within a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Proficiency with WMS software and inventory management techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 30 pounds.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols.
- Familiarity with logistics operations is a plus.
