This role is fundamental to the efficient operation of our warehouse, involving the movement, storage, and organization of materials and products. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently handling a variety of items, ensuring they are in the right place at the right time. This position requires physical strength, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to workplace safety. You will operate material handling equipment, assist with inventory control, and maintain a clean and orderly work environment. We are committed to providing a safe working atmosphere, which includes mandatory training on safety procedures and the required use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The ability to perform heavy lifting and operate machinery safely is crucial. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock put-away.
- Ensure all materials are stored correctly and safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift certification is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50+ pounds).
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices and PPE.
- Good physical coordination and stamina.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
