Join our team as an Order Picker in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where you will play a vital role in our warehouse operations. As an Order Picker, your primary responsibility will be to accurately retrieve items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This position requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to safety within our logistics environment. You will be essential in ensuring that our customers receive their orders accurately and on time.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately locate and retrieve items from designated warehouse locations based on order lists.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Transport picked items to packing or shipping stations using appropriate equipment.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, ensuring aisles are clear and hazards are removed.
- Operate pallet jacks and other manual lifting devices.
- Report any discrepancies in inventory levels or damaged goods to a supervisor.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts as required.
- Adhere strictly to all warehouse safety rules and regulations.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse setting is advantageous.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and product labels.
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good physical stamina, including the ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Team player with good communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
This position involves extensive walking and standing. You must be able to lift items up to 40 pounds and perform repetitive bending and reaching motions. We provide training on safe lifting techniques to ensure your well-being.
Safety and PPE:
Safety is paramount. You will be required to wear specific Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety shoes and gloves. All employees receive thorough training on safe work practices, hazard recognition, and the proper use of equipment within our logistics facility. Your dedication to safety is crucial for our team's success.
