Join our fast-paced warehouse team in Richmond, Virginia, as an Order Picker! We are seeking dedicated individuals to accurately and efficiently fulfill customer orders. As an Order Picker, your primary responsibility will be to locate and retrieve products from warehouse shelves based on order tickets. This role is crucial for our logistics operations, ensuring timely and accurate shipment of goods. A strong focus on Safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work quickly and methodically are essential. You will utilize handheld scanners and other warehouse equipment to navigate the facility and manage inventory. Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. This position involves considerable walking, standing, and some Lifting.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations according to order lists/scanners.
- Verify picked items against order requirements to ensure accuracy.
- Pack items securely for shipment, ensuring proper labeling.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to Safety guidelines.
- Follow all Safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to supervisors promptly.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the warehouse and logistics flow.
- Meet established productivity and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform regular Lifting, up to 35 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Familiarity with scanning technology and warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good physical stamina, including the ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Understanding of basic Safety practices within a warehouse setting.
- Team player with good communication skills.
