We are seeking a diligent and experienced Shipping Clerk for our busy facility in New York City, New York. In this critical role, you will oversee the preparation and dispatch of all outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all shipping regulations. Your responsibilities will include verifying orders, meticulously packing items, creating shipping documentation, and coordinating with various carriers to manage delivery schedules. Excellent organizational skills, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced urban environment are essential. This position mandates strict adherence to all Safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE . While not the primary focus, some Lifting may be required. This is a prime opportunity to contribute to our efficient Logistics network in one of the world's most dynamic cities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end shipping process for all outgoing orders.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders according to specifications.
- Verify shipment contents against order details and manifest.
- Generate accurate shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documents.
- Schedule and coordinate pick-ups with shipping carriers and freight forwarders.
- Ensure packages are properly labeled and secured for transit.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping department.
- Track shipments and proactively address any delays or issues.
- Follow all company and industry Safety standards.
- Wear and utilize all designated PPE correctly.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners regarding shipping status.
- Contribute to the efficiency and optimization of our Logistics operations.
- Perform administrative tasks related to shipping and receiving as needed.
