Become a vital part of our logistics team in Miami, Florida, as a Material Handler. This role is central to the efficient operation of our warehouse, involving the movement and management of various materials. We are seeking robust, reliable individuals who are committed to maintaining a high standard of Safety and productivity. As a Material Handler, you will be essential in ensuring goods are processed correctly and efficiently through our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, sort, and stage materials for further processing or shipment.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to transport goods safely.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and other vehicles.
- Perform regular checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and Safety.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintaining accurate stock records.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Collaborate with colleagues to meet daily operational targets and ensure a smooth workflow.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to logistics and material handling.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a warehouse setting is strongly preferred.
- Ability to perform tasks involving significant physical exertion, including frequent Lifting of items up to 60 lbs.
- Demonstrated understanding of warehouse Safety practices and procedures.
- Proficiency in operating basic material handling equipment.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
