We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our growing logistics hub in Huntsville, Alabama. In this role, you will operate forklifts to move, load, and unload materials, playing a critical part in our warehouse operations. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the safe and efficient handling of goods, contributing to the overall success of our supply chain. This position demands a strong commitment to Safety, adherence to operational procedures, and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Regular lifting of up to 60 pounds is an expectation of this role. If you have a valid forklift certification, a keen eye for detail, and experience in a demanding warehouse environment, we encourage you to apply and become a key member of our logistics team.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers efficiently and accurately.
- Transport goods to designated storage areas.
- Conduct daily pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any issues.
- Follow all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure proper use of required PPE at all times.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve operational goals.
- Support overall warehouse logistics and workflow.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 60 pounds.
- Familiarity with different types of forklifts is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles.
- Commitment to wearing and maintaining PPE.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
