Job Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity for an Inventory Control Specialist in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This role is essential for maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for implementing and monitoring inventory control procedures, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and optimizing stock levels. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management systems. Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control procedures and policies.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist in forecasting demand to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
  • Manage the return process, including inspection, restock, or disposal of returned items.
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory to maximize space utilization and accessibility.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Collaborate with the purchasing and receiving departments to reconcile inventory.
  • Enforce all safety protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and maintain a safe work environment.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency with WMS software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate Lifting (up to 30 lbs).
  • Knowledge of inventory control best practices and logistics principles.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Commitment to safety standards and adherence to all required training.
