We are looking for a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our bustling warehouse in San Antonio, Texas. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency from the moment products arrive. Your primary responsibilities will include unloading delivery trucks, verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and accurately documenting all received items. This position is crucial to our Logistics chain, ensuring that our inventory is managed correctly from the outset. A keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills are essential. You will work closely with inventory and shipping teams to maintain seamless operations. We are committed to maintaining a safe working environment, and all employees must adhere to rigorous **Safety** standards and utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from delivery vehicles.
- Verify quantities and product details against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect all incoming goods for damage or defects.
- Accurately document all received items in the warehouse management system.
- Tag and prepare received goods for put-away.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues to supervisors immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Ensure compliance with all company **Safety** policies and the use of PPE .
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, warehouse operations, or inventory control is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and product labels.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills for data entry.
- Ability to perform frequent **Lifting** of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to workplace **Safety** and willingness to wear required PPE .
- Understanding of general Logistics procedures is beneficial.
