As a Shipping Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products are accurately and efficiently prepared for shipment to our valued customers. Your responsibilities will include verifying order accuracy, preparing shipping labels, packaging items securely, and coordinating with shipping carriers. This role is fundamental to our supply chain operations, requiring a keen eye for detail and a commitment to timely delivery. You will work closely with warehouse management and other team members to maintain smooth operations and high customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment. Compliance with all safety regulations and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. Your ability to handle moderate Lifting will be important for certain tasks. Responsibilities:
- Verify accuracy of outgoing orders against picking slips.
- Package products securely and appropriately for various shipping methods.
- Generate and affix shipping labels, ensuring all information is correct.
- Schedule pickups with common carriers and prepare necessary documentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Conduct final quality checks before products leave the facility.
- Assist with inventory counts as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on Safety .
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping or a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with shipping software and carrier portals is a plus.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to Lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to wear required PPE .
